Allying with other players?

Hey all just got a copy of this game and I noticed something... how do I allow players to be on teams? and how can I take red as a color in skirmish?

 

I cannot seem to kick the bot in skirmish so I am unfamiliar there, and for multiplayer(or even skirmish) how can I set teams if there is even a way?

A bit late ik, to do that basically choose an enemy unit and click a, your opponent must do the same

for red color. you can find that in the forum, search about it
