Dune related games?

I thought, let's look it up.

 

First I visited the wiki page:

First things first.

The cardgame:

This thread, the card game only to be discussed.

 

It looks exactly like the Magic setup. But pictures from various other games are taken for the pictures on the card.

Pictures are from:

- Dune 2 by a fan.

- Dune the movie by a fan.

- Artist drawings by a fan, or original.

So, there is an original game, but the fan has added cards and posted the pictures on the same page. Confusing others who only look at the surface.

 

However, it seems that this is indeed an official game. People could buy this.

Anyway, there is a picture of a Harkonnen win. But I can't tell what is happening. There is no gameplay picture with explenations.

So, has anyone played this game before?

How is it like?

Is it good to your oppinion?

Some cards are worth $130 these days. Just like how some magic cards have passed the $1000.

Has anyone here cards even if they didn't play?

This card game expert finds the game good. Very good. But then again, he is a specialist.

Gameplay (60/60)

Accessibility (10/15), right, people can't get the game while it's good? No, he means that the game is very complex. I suspect that the rules are just very hard explained. Even in the second run. Who can provide me the rules? I would like to invest studie time in this game to give it my own score.

Players needed, at least 2. I guess I shoudn't spend time for getting this. Since it's magic based. My "nerd" buddy is not avaiable anymore.

Playing magic alone is not worthwhile. However, it is collectable. And I am more interested in this then the magic cards.

So I think I will try to get my hands on some basics. And give it a first test run.

However, Magic was very good in the first test run. But trying the game against people with "god" cards, is no fun. You need to spend time and money to get the right cards. I guess, that's why its a collecters item.
