Davidu
For 2 years I've been working in China and a lot of websites are blocked. Facebook, twitter and Youtube are the top 3. Not sure if it has to do with politics or with money, because there is, of course the chinese equivalent: Facebook - RenRen; Twitter - Sina Weibo; Youtube - YouKou. Maybe the people want to keep the money in da' house, who knows?Google is also on the black list, as it was kicked out of China a while back. Only Google HongKong works now. Sort of. But since the gvt change in progress this month... holy cow!!! No one could connect to Gmail. Google search is dead. Of course there is Bing and BaiDu, but seriously... The connection is slow as hell, Skype is really shitty... and the programs I used to breach the Great Firewall of China are useless. Yahoo also is kinda' f*cked.I will probably invest in a VPN, paid. This is really a pain in the ass. Any of you ever experienced internet censorship?
