Hi,

I have a new map named Kazakhstan. It has taken 3 days to complete it, but when i was done and everything was configured correctly, i saw a huge problem; the map was upside down :( But i never stopped my well-maded map, because it was way to nice to set it not on a website. So this is my first map, and i have the Aspergers' Syndrome, so i can handle very hard with negative comments or ratings, so i have done my very, very best to it, in hope i won't get that!

The Map:

Name: Kazakhstan

File name: kazakhstan.mp2

Taken: 3 days

Based on: The Times World Atlas

Industry based on: Lonely Planet: Kazakhstan and Google Earth

No missions and/or objectives included

If this map will be succesful, i will make a 2nd version of it, where the upside-down bug fixed is, and any more improvements based on the comments.

(PS My English is not the very best i know!)

I have built a number of maps that were up side down. I had only one friendly comment made to let me know a map was upside down.

Don't worry about your communications. You are understandable. Welcome aboard

I'm happy that i'm aboard, and as you know, i am one of the newest members in The Terminal, so can you explain me how to upload the file to the RT2 Maps category? (I've accidently place this forum for RT3, but it is designed for RT2!)

When you write your post in a message box, you will see the word "attachments" below this message box. Click browse to find your map.

(It is better to zip your map into a smaller package ahead of time, as it will upload and download faster and take up less room)

Click on your map and click "Attach This File" and press enter. The map will be placed in the forum under your posted message where any one can download it.

Later, I'm a bit slow going this, I will move the map to the map pages. The delay allows you to remove or fix the map if this action is needed.

Oops, i've forgotten the readme file, upload THIS file in place of that other one!

When I'm not so busy, when I scan the map. etc. and when everything looks workable, I will move it to the map pages.

Sorry, I forgot to figure out how to move it on this new board. It will rain tomorrow and I will try and move it.

I've taken 3 months making two different maps and still haven't had time to finish one.

PS: The map can be down loaded from where it is.

basvdriel,

I've worked on how to move your map this morning. I'm still trying to discover everything the board needs from me.

Into what area do you want me to post your map? http://theterminal.dune2k.com/?p=rrt2-files-maps

I have a few chores to do, since the rain is late today.

I have a couple of comments:

#1 Use the editor and put some win events in your map.

#2 Level the water parts on the map by touching the water with the spilling paint can. First click on the water icon or you could change you water area. If you make a mistake go back to a saved map and save often.

A good method is to look at other maps in the editor and see how others build the events. If you have any questions just ask.

I want to have it in RT2, then in ''Asia''.

And it is a blank map, because i dont know how all that stuff works. People may edit it, and re-upload it, but under my name. And i am now finding out how to add the events. But i think it is gonna take a while, so i think its the best to upload it, and then save as a ''blank'' map.
