Gobalopper Posted March 16, 2000 Posted March 16, 2000 This was posted at the Gone Gold website in the nightly Hot Sheet. It seems that g.o.d. has a disc in Incite Magazine that contains the full version of RRT2 Gold but there is some interesting advertising going on, read below:And just under the wire comes this bit of information from reader Marc Cowgill: I know how you feel about rental software, so I thought I'd pass this along: On the demo disc of the current issue of Incite Magazine is the "full free version" of Railroad Tycoon II Gold. You are told it is a free program being given to you by the kind folks at G.O.D. Once you click "install" however, you are told that you must connect to the internet in order to be given a free trial period after which you must pay to continue playing or buy the full game. I should have known this was too good to be true, but I'm pissed at Incite for trying to sucker me this way. Thank goodness I don't have a subscription to this magazine, run by such "marketing wizards."Just something to keep in mind if you see the mag in stores, check out the entire article for more.
