New map problem

hello can someone tell me how can i use fan maps and mappacks for skirmish ?

i copy/paste them to data folder but still not happening and i have no map folder also:/

Hello, welcome to the forum.

The first thing that you should do is to update Emperor to the 1.09 Patch. That is a very important step.

Second, insert the official map packs in the Data Folder within the Westwood file. On my computer it is located at C:/COMPAQ(C:)/Westwood/Emperor/Data. C is my Hard Drive.

Then install the map packer. The instruction to install the map packer is located here http://dune2k.com/Duniverse/Games/Emperor/Downloads/FanMaps/Install. Then follow the instruction that comes with the map packer. The map packer is how to install fan made maps into the game.

After that, it should work and you should see new map that were created by Westwood and the fans.

The first thing to do is to download a fan made map to the CMaps folder. Its located in the MapPacker within the Emperor folder. Second, click the MapPacker program and you should see the MapPacker ver1.2 screen and it has four tabs (PACK,UNPACK,TEMPLATE,SETTINGS) on it. Click the UNPACK tab and you should see the map on the list under Compressed Map files. Click the map that you want to unpack on the list and click the UnPack button. The map should apprear in the game in Single Skirmish Battles. ;)
