Step 1

Microsoft fixed the last way to mod halo 3 for free, as they now charge for the 360 data migration kit. But the latest update opens a new possibility, as now usb memory sticks can be used for game data storage. This tut uses Xtaf Usb explorer by slasherking. I personally inspired and tested this tool, which was an extension of his existing fatx driver. All coding was done by him. Here`s what you will need:

Xbox 360 with latest Xbox Live update

Halo 3 or Halo 3:ODST Disc 2

Computer with available USB Port

Windows XP, Vista Or Windows 7

USB flash drive with at least 1gb of memory

First you will need to update your xbox 360, simply connect it to xbox live and you will be prompted to update.

After a semi lengthy update, plug in your Usb device and go to memory. Click on your Usb device, then select configure. Your 360 will format your memory stick. (If you have data it might be erased, so I suggest backing it up first.)

After this is completed, go to your hdd and copy the data to your Usb. Then unplug the usb after this is completed.

Plug the Usb into your computer. Start Xtaf Usb explorer. Click on the File menu and click
