Well it seems in New Zealand (where I live) that alot of people appear to favour the death penalty. I don't support the death penalty. For a start, what if you kill the wrong person? An eye for an eye sort of justice doesn't appear very civilised either. It gives a great power to the state also. The fact that the state can legally and almost morally kill you is a pretty scary power for a government to have.

I also wanted to show you my Dune related comment to a New Zealand paper article that was posted and made me write this thread. I couldn't resist. I'm comment number 194. Sure. While we're at it, I never liked children, africans or people with brown eyes. They should all be treated as less than human as well.
