So I was googling around from work (shh... don't tell me manager...) looking for images and related things to dark reign as my studio is planning a re-make as a teamwork exercise (because since making that till OS for a local fittings warehouse we all just about hate one another.

So I stumbled back upon this site (which I vaguely remember registering on long ago) and I came across a mod titled "Emperor: The Reign of Shadows" and I'm wondering what all is left from that mod besides posts from long ago.

Hello.

I got as far as coding the FG and IM sides to a fair extent. The third side still needed a fair amount doing to it - I can't even remember what I intended them to be, really. Togran, presumably. Maybe not. The files are still knocking about somewhere, I'm sure. It should be much easier nowadays to make what you want, what with the XBF editors and so on. It's relatively easy to create new 3D models with its export/import functions.

Water harvesting never would have functioned, though. You'd have to invent something else.

It strikes me that Emperor isn't the ideal game to create a DR mod on anyway. What about Generals -- or you could be more creative and port it to Dawn of War with some embellishments of your own.

And I'm guessing you know that there was a DR 2? Shame it was so bad.

Yes I am aware of Dark Reign 2. Our studio is actually working on obtaining the rights to a remake of both games (Though if it works out, Dark Reign 2 by us will be NOTHING like Dark Reign 2 by Pandemic)

Though release names may make things hairy XD

I'm mainly looking for renders to see how other people interpreted the 2d sprites (I really hate our version of the Skirmish tank.. it looks... really really shitty)
