Urakobe Posted January 18, 2007 Share Posted January 18, 2007 Hey, i've been running Dune 2000 on my xp, and in single player it works just fine...but everytime i try to play multiplayer over the internet on Westwood, the game crashes everytime i join, or create a game. I've got the v1.06 patch installed, and i've tryied several different things, icluding changing the compatabilty mode, resolution, 8 bit/16bit mode, 256 colors, and a few other things...Anybody got any ideas to fix this? NilsByte Posted September 4, 2007 Share Posted September 4, 2007 Try to set the following in the Windows HOSTS file 212.162.52.234 servserv.westwood.com212.162.52.234 irc.westwood.comthat sets the servers to use the XWIS service for playing Westwood Games online. If the problem resists, try to activate DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) in your router configuration. I have read of a FOXrotorz or something patch, try this before starting the game. it may work.
