SOUND issues HelP! Pls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lately my game has been lagging because the EVA like voice that says "building" or "training" messess up... it starts like sluttering and then the game starts lagging. Its not my graphics card since I have Geforce FX 5500, if it is my sound card is there anyway i can fix it? This has been happening lately and I dont know what I did for this to happen... Could it be because of the CD... but the game barely needs it in skirish...? Help me please.

try going to nvidia.com and download the forceware  (newer isnt always better)

then try the same for your sound card (assuming you know the vendor)

failing that...maybe try turning the sound acceleration down a notch (or all the way)

goto control panel>sound,game controlers>advanced-at the bottom>performance>'hardware acceleration'

in most cases you shouldnt haveto touch the hw accel,  unless you got a real issue

afaik the only time the game needs the cd is for music,and certain campaign briefings

btw whats operating system you running?  it could also be direct-x

also make sure your not using antialiasing or anisotropic filtering as the fx5500 isnt going to perform very well, using forced AA especially
