I was reading the storyline for Emperor Battle For Dune when I noticed something.

It says that the Emperor was assasinated in the year 10190. This doesn't make any sense

because in the movie Dune, it starts off in the year 10191 and the Emperor is still alive.

The Emperor that was assasinated couldn't have been the present Emperors' father, because the previous Emperor was assasinated about 80 years before.

Can someone please explain this fault in the storyline?

They aren't really basing the storyline on any previous works, other than as a continuation of Dune II. It's really confusing, instead of following the Books, or the movie, they choose to do their own thing :)
