Hi guys,

I am a big fan of all the Dune games and I just purchased Emperor battle for dune .  last night I installed the game and played for the first time as the Atriedes and got my butt kicked in skirmish mode due to early rushes.

So my question is what the strongest main house and subhouse for a rather easy campaign? As a newbie I feel that I could gain experience, live longer and not have such a hard time playing with the best units and houses in the game.

Secondly, whatever house it is what do you guys focus on first to establish a firm foothold? do you build an army of infantry first? then turrets? etc..etc...

They are so many units and so many strenghts and weakness'  that I feel overwelmed and confused at times as to how to deploy and use each unit to its utmost!!

cheers.....

there is no best house and every person has what works best some defend some attack some just set traps it all depends on your mindset.  whatever you are like translate that into how you command in the game that will help you the most  ::)

Uh yeah what Dex said, there are no good houses or bad houses. I like to play with everyone (sometimes not Harkonnen) . They are all good in some way or another.

Harkonnen advantage is pretty good, same as ordos, but atreides unless you like to use kindjal , not a good advantage.

Atreides have the powerful minotaurus, Ordos have their Kobra

,and Harkonnen have their Devastator and Missle Tank.

I personally am a defend and then all out assault person. Try Harkonnen, Sardaukar, Fremen. Build up your defenses with the usual turrets and missile tanks, and inkvine catapults. When you attack build 10 fedaykin (fremen) and sneak out and do ambushes and attack buildings that aren't defended. After building 20 norm sardaukar and 10 elite put them in a group to attack. It is better if you have more sardaukar and Fedyakin. Good luck [move]
