I was just thinking, Why? Whymust Westwood be like, so uninterested in the Dune games anymore? I mean jeez, If they're not going to make a good game then don't! They made the backgrounds in it boring and ugly, and plain. The mission objectives reeked, mostly because they were just "Destroy the Enemy". PUT MORE WORK INTO IT!!!!!! Make it, like "Rescue the  General" and "Cut off supplies so reinforcements can come" or something. And most of all, the graphics must be improved at least 10-20 bits more. Maybe some of this is possible in a MOD.....Hmmm.... ::)

I guess the graphics are quiet exceptional, but if they made them smooth instead of the edges being exposed on their sides, then it would be good.

They do make some interesting missions. OK, maybe they're not quite as focused on doing that as you might like, but the game is damn good.

Next time you play emperor, Start it up, then STOP. Look at the menu. It's a game menu, yet you can hear some fairly good music, you see something that is really quite aesthetically pleasing. Even without getting into the game, it looks good. And when you do play (assuming you have all the graphics options up high) LOOK at the scenery. It's breathtaking. Look at all the detail and effort that's been put in.  

Now, play. Don't play to win, play to enjoy. If you can beat the ai with a rush, don't just rush and win every game. Use different strategies, try to vary the things you do.

I'm fed up with people saying emperor is a rubbish game.
