Thanks for the tip, but its a bit hard, the cable goes through 3 walls to my neighbours PC ;) . And I dont have the skill/equipment to make it crossover... However I found an article in westwoods dune2000 faq saying that it is due to patches/hacks/cheats. And I use a cracked copy of dune2000... (but i HAVE bought dune2) So it is propably solved.

The line is 15 meters long (about 45 feet). At the moment I have a 10mbps hub, but i've ordered a 100mps hub/switch, since both our nics support that speed. Maybe that will solve it...

Thanks for the hint. I use a UTP 1000mbps cable for a 10mbps connection, so that shouldn't be a problem. Do you know a good tool to check a connection over lan?

When i play dune2000 over LAN (ipx/spx) in win98 i get always get an out of sync error after an hour or so. I already installed the 1.06 patch. Any clues? thanks.
