  1. In the meantime I tried it out, it also works on my system and I can even adjust the original 4:3 size! (it's nothing to do with the game or with Vista, but with the graphics card: go to the graphics card menu, and in my case I have a nVidia GeForce 8700M GT - nvidia control panel and I then chose 'use NVIDIA scale' instead of 'use NVIDIA scale with fixed aspect ration')
  2. ah, just found something where it reads that RT2 Platinum IS working on Vista (the 64bit version at least...and I don't know the exact RT2Plat version)
  3. well...I'll then post something as soon as I've tried out...should be by end of next week/September
  4. Hello! have been told to ask that question here where the RT2 neats are sitting... :) I'm getting Vista with my new notebook next week, and I want to know if RT2 runs on that OS...have the Platinum Version and the latest patch (1.56 I believe) thx !
  5. no, I'm sorry, don't know where to get one... the official Orient Express Scenario approsimately covers the region - at least this is the map that comes close When I'm not learning for University or practising with my band, I (still) try to finish my map about the Semmeringbahn in Austria, but the rest of the event-scripting is a helluva work, so it still might take another while until it's complete :-\ But, that said, it only covers the region around the Semmering, hence not much from the area you described...
  6. OK - I'm continuing again, working on it with great eager, the holidays are here, the link where I cry for help is: http://hawkdawg.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=31 As stated, I'd like to avoid double postings on each and every RT3 forum, I think this is the way to get the most results... Thanks for your help in advance ;) btw, you can also post answers HERE (though I'd prefer answers collected in one place)
  7. Hello folks! Lately I was reminded that I have created some logos & players for RT3 - now I post it here and at other RT3 pages! Logos for the
  8. OK, my return to RT3 after some months & my return to building my Semmering map after 9 months - but now my final school year is over, so I've plenty of (well, at least more) time to continue with my project about the Semmering Railroad. I've begun to write the events, but as I'm not a very experienced mapmaker (concerning event-scripting) I need some help every once and while (or every few days, put it like you want it to ;D ) I will post all my issues/questions/problems at Hawk's forum (as I've done in the past) here: http://hawkdawg.com/Forum/index.php?showforum=27 I guess it's the best solution to avoid unecessary double-postings - I just don't want to put the same topic on several RT forums on the net, getting the same (or completely different) answers on each thread. So if you have time & want to help me, plz stop by ;) thx btw: here is my RT3/Semmering homepage, where you can gather some information about the Semmeringbahn & my map project: http://www.railroadtycoon.at.tf/ (unfortunately the page is offline at the moment and this could still remain so for a few weeks - down to the ISP, but hy, it's a free offer ;D )
  9. for anyone who has already heard (or who hasn't heard) about my project of the Semmering Railroad, and who wants to help me with some decisions, please go over to http://www.gathering.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=66 there are 2 treads started to serve this aim. any help/comments/suggestions is appreciated thx in advance!
  10. Hey! Have just put my RT page online! www.railroadtycoon.at.tf The biggest part is the info-section for the Semmeringbahn in Austria, from which I am currently making a map, as I live just some kilometers away from the railroad there. There also is a making-of of the map, which hasn't been completed so far. further infos over at Gathering: http://www.gathering.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=236584#236584 Choochoo!!!
  11. Wow! nice pics! b, c, and d are quite interesting and funny, but pic A REALLY HITS MY INTERESTS....how did you manage THAT going? Because that's what I've been dreaming of, to do that in RT3, but it didn't work, because of the snap-in radius.... I mean I haven't tried that out in 1.05 I think, as it was not listed as an improvement...in 1.05 changes
  12. ok, here's a link to the new 1.05 patch: http://www.take2games.com/index.php?p=support&product=166%2C3%2CRailroad+Tycoon+3%2CPC%2CGathering%2Crt3&section=patches don't know why this is only avaliable at Take2 for now, but other mirrors should follow... btw. download the correct version, 1.05 has specific languages!!!
  13. This snap-in function when building track should be decreased, so that you can lay tracks right next to the existing, and not some 4 cells away....
