  1. Those sound cool. And/or I guess I finally have a calling to do a dune series editing project!
  2. Sorry, meant which sub folder in the westwood program folder for the game. And what file type/format for the saved games (so I can search for it): that a little clearer/more helpfull?
  3. Nah, not that easy: the drive was recovered in fragments, not a disk image and the computer got a factory clean install. Which Folder? What would the files be called? I found a "game save" folder but it seems to be empty...
  4. Obviously all these games are in a "duniverse" but they are departures from the military forces and tactics used in the books. (and storyline of course!) I was wondering has anyone ever done a mod of Emperor (as the most suitable in terms of units and with multiple planets for play) to emulate the novels? I guess it would mostly entail limiting the game down to and emphasizing infantry and air units and I suppose artillery. Plus it would limit the houses to Atreides and harkonnen but keep all third parties (guild, tleilaxu, sardaukar, fremen) as allies or opponents as they all play key roles in the games and the books. Seems like it would still be interesting and balanced game play though.
  5. Ridiculously enough I am pretty sure Dune2k is my favorite game of all time, but anyway I need a little help getting it back: My computer crashed but I had the drive recovered and then did a clean install of Dune again. I originally played every level and variant in the missions and training, even if not very well!, but obviously these do not show up in the saved games on the new install as they are on another drive and folder. So, is there a way to integrate the saved missions into the new install? Where are the files normally kept and what are they named? I hunted around in the recovered directory once but didn't spot anything obvious. I am only computer literate enough that I don't usually manually screw around with system files when I tweak things, hence the question. I'd like to have dune "back" but I don't want to just use the editing programs to "cheat" to see/save everything if that makes any sense. And, sorry If I didn't spot that this has been answered before...
