  1. Wow there's actually been a lot of development in the army since then. Check out this page on dakka dakka for more! http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/249238.page
  2. Any idea on how to fix that? they are embedded correctly, they just don't always show up apparently...
  3. Your wish is my command! Just yesterday I played a game vs daemons. Here are some pics.
  4. Thanks guys, love the feedback. Wolf, the reason I didn't go tri-leaf is because I'm 'attempting' to stay as true to the books as possible. Ya, there are some problems with my army fluff-wise (navigator fight with Fremen? what?!) but as far as modeling goes, I went with the description in the books whenever I could. As cool as Lynch's mouths were, they are never described as being segmented as such- rather as large gaping holes similar to annelids. In many ways the path I took kinda sucked comparatively- adding all those teeth to a splayed open mouth would have been a cake walk compared to three readily available surfaces without confined space. Anyway- That's why the navigator looks more like a fish than a giant cuddlefish, the ornithopter has wings, not turbines, and the worms have round mouths, not three piece ones.
  5. Ya those are LEDs! Below are some photos of the battery pack and cables. Warhammer is a about 1:48 scale, also known as 'heroic.' A general infantry model is approximately 1" tall, the sandworms are on bases about 4"x6" and are about 5-6" tall. Here's a photo of the skeleton I used to make the first sandworm- it gives you an idea of how large they are. and again the finished sandworm made from this skeleton The sandworms aren't that difficult to make, but do take some modeling abilities. They are made from plastic bottle skeletons, then multiple layers of sculpted 'apoxie sculpt' (two part epoxy clay). Here are some WIP shots from the worm above.
  6. Thanks Andrew! I'll post some more stuff up ASAP.
  7. Thanks! By the way, is there an easier way to embed photos? Currently I have to copy and paste code in, but some of the table options still appear and need to be edited out.
  8. Hey guys, I'm new to this forum, but a huge Dune and 40k fan (tabletop as well as DOW). For a while now, I've been working on creating a Dune themed army based upon the rules in codex Black Templar. Here are some pics and a little explanation.
