  1. not this matter, i think it is my window XP.
  2. the problem is: its ok to get a older drive, but the major problem is the drive that you let me to try will lag up my window and my computer is used to work also :-X
  3. un.. :)i thank you for you help first, but the driver is not work i still cant launch the game by game.exe and this program lag up my web page viewing, so i need to unstaill the drive and reinstall my vidow card again :(

  5. oh no... trying every method, still cannot launch the game.. good bye emperor :'( i will turn to Ghost Recon and R-Type Final soon..... :P
  6. both tryed.. but it still not working at all.. i think it is the problem of my window XP. but i am now going to say the problem with more detail: when i following the step of EMPENGINSTFIX10.ZIP, in step 4 "4. Double-click the setup.exe in the desktop setup folder - this will start the installation procedure." the installation did not start. and then i try to install 1.09 english version (i got english version emperor) its installable but still cant launch the game

ALL RIGHTS RESERVED THIS UPDATE WILL WORK FOR ALL VERSIONS OF EMPEROR A small group of our players using certain types of CD/DVD/CDR drives have experienced trouble installing EMPEROR: BATTLE FOR DUNE. The attached files and these instructions should resolve any hardware incompatibilities found during the installation procedure. 1. If you have more than one CD (or DVD/CDRW) drive, make sure Emperor disk 1 is in the first CD drive (the one with the lowest alphabetical drive letter). a. From your desktop, double-click the "My Computer" icon. b. You will see a list of drives followed by a drive letter indicator, e.g. EMPEROR1 (E:) c. Make sure the EMPEROR1 disk is in the lowest alphabetical CD drive. 2. Copy the "setup" folder from the root of Emperor disk 1 onto your desktop. a. From your desktop, double-click the "My Computer" icon. b. Right-click on the "EMPEROR1" disk icon and select "Open". c. Right-click on the "setup" folder and drag it to your desktop. d. Choose the "Copy Here" option when prompted. 3. Open the new setup folder on your desktop and copy the replacement file "setup.exe" into the folder. 4. Double-click the setup.exe in the desktop setup folder - this will start the installation procedure. ( >:( no effect after i click it ....then of course without step 5 and 6 :'() 5. Once the installation procedure has completed, you will need to copy the replacement file "emperor.exe" into the folder where you installed Emperor. The default installation is c:westwoodemperor. a. From your desktop, double-click the "My Computer" icon. c. Double-click the "C:" drive icon. d. Double-click the "Westwood" folder icon. e. Double-click the "Emperor" folder icon. f. Copy the replacement "emperor.exe" into this folder. 6. Now you should be all set. To run Emperor, you can double-click the "Emperor - Battle For Dune" icon on your desktop, or run the game from the Autoplay screen that appears when you insert an Emperor game disk into your CD drive.

  10. as you can see, i cant launch the game, and i am using window XP hope you guy know how to read in chinese ;D
  11. i got patch 1.09 already, but dont know where is the XWIS tool :( but i still cant get in the game after i install patch 1.09 :(
  12. i thank you for your help :) so i can get 1.09 in this site i know, but will i going to search engine to search XWIS tool by using keyword" Xwis tool"? and i dont understand something because i have never try it... how can i connect to RA server???
