thanks for that shy, in regards to the lan issue, i had this issue when trying to connect xp home to 98 and seeing another player in the d2k lobby, the only way i could get the issue resolved was by installing xp pro on both machines... pro has more protocols availible than home.. even though i had ipx installed on home and 98 - i didnt try xp home to xp home....

Can someone tell me how to set up allies with the othe player of the LAN game agasnt the AI????????? :-[

i have just installed xp pro on both my machines, as i could not get it too work with xp to 98, so i suspect that it was deffinatley the protocol that i was missing, (cant remember the name)....

has anyone got a full on resolve to this? i have looked for the rotorz patch and not been able to find it and i may not even need it. ive got a 98 machine and an xp, both with ipx installed. 98 is running the spawned version with a cross over connection - no router, hub, nothing. let me know if this issue was ever resolved. and what does the rotorz patch do ?
