Is there a patch to fix this? these units are utterly broken and totally unbalanced. There is no way that the tleilaxu units are remotely balanced in this game; they can cripple your forces in seconds and are far quicker than infantry.

Is there any way to watch the movies off the disk without playing the campaign?

Now I know this is an old topic, and the fix has to do with amending the command line in the shortcut to run the game. But when I play, having gotten it to install, the movies stutter like craxy. THis has something to di with buffering them (or not buffering them as the case may be). How can i fix this to be able to watch the movies and play the game. Thanks.

I've had no luck getting both machines to communicate; one uses XP (a much faster machine) whereas the other is 98, as i said. i tried putting the entire contents on hte hard drive before using the fix.exe and it wouldn't read off the HD, it just kept saying insert disc.

Hi, i'm trying to install this game on an old pc (win 98 OS) that has actually run the game before, when I last plauyed years ago. Now however my new discs dont intall, though they do on a different machine (which unfortuantely isn't mine), so i know the discs are ok. The problem is at around 54% installation it hits the dialog.bag file and the cd just stops and i get the message 'can't red from dialog.bag'. Nothing i've tried (including empinstfix10) doesn't work. Can anyone help? Thanks.

I've been playing the Harkonnen campaign and I've noticed they have problems with their aircraft in that building a group causes a mass pileup at the hangar! If you dont move each craft into space after it is built the final group ends up stuck and unable to move because they are piled up somehow. This happens only with aircraft it seems and I dont know why.

Brian Herbert appropriately estimates he has the monopoly of Dune related texts, which are the core of the Duniverse. If the available legal texts are not enough, you are supposed to feed your Dune appetite with licensed video and game derivatives, you are not legally supposed to read or write fan fics. Surely to goodness any non-profit fanfic is totally _un_ illegal? What law can be considered to break it? Isn't it a bit simplistic to just attribute their attitude to jealousy? I can't say that I have ever spoken to the guy but he can't be that petty surely? Personally speaking I would never endorse such a short sighted view as it is self defeating.

How do the Harkonnen Gunships (and similar) work? They periodically reload, but how do you gtet them to do this? Clicking on the landing pad just gets them sitting around; how do i knwo when they have reloaded?
