ok I understand that one channel in a targa file is used to manipulate the height of the terrain. The area I want info on is how to hack the image once painted. This is basically a flat image, probably a bmp file merged with the terrain to give it dimension. How do I access the map color file used? It has to be in the file saved. Does anyone know where it is saved in the file and what format it is in. I could use an editor to open the file, copy and paste into another file to bring into Photoshop and manipulate it, then bring it back and have incredible maps. Anyone?
