Have trouble starting up Emperor sometimes????

I was having trouble sometimes with emperor not starting up properly it would show the emperor box and then stop.  I would ctr alt del and close all the stuff and then try again and might get lucky or probably would have to try again.  Well turns out that emperor was made for win98 and this is a common problem I had a friend of mine work on the executable and now have a fixed one.  Anyone using emperor 1.09 can download this just put it in your emperor folder and if you want rename you original emperor emperor2 to back it up.  Now watch and see how much faster emperor will startup.... Hope this helps some people out.

I have exactly the same problem. (I have played and re-played this game thousands of times.  Because of a video card failure I had to uninstall end re-install the game. Since then the same no-start problem) 

The link you posted for "empire.exe" does not work.

Please help!
