Sorry for the newbie question, first time poster.

How exactly do i connect to RA/XWIS servers ? I tried the xwis tool and set it to ra server by default and checked host file to read :

72.17.137.93 servserv.westwood.com

but now i launch EBFD, go to multiplay but it still directs me to WOL login. Is it supposed to connect directly to the server upon game launch or i should get a login name/password like WOL? I tried WOL registration but havent got an email yet. BTW the test option in the xwis tool doesn't seem to work for me.

Hi, welcome to EMP world, hehe.

I think you just need to go into options/multiplayer and enter a screen name and password. Then launch the multiplayer/internet game. The reason the test doesn't work is that you haven't logged in on XWIS yet with your nik and password. By the way, for XWIS be sure to use a strong password. XWIS had an issue with weak passwords a while back.

Example-

bob = weak

l2nb4ks7g = strong

i've tried everything posted on this forum, and still can't get onto RA (bad password thing) i've tried many weak and strong passwords, few logins and just can't play. i'm sure i have correct ip set in hosts file.

any idea what else could go wrong??
