Emperor runs really slow randomly then speeds up again?

how? it says on back of box it need 64 mb ram :/ -
I like to play emperor but when i play it its fine but sometimes randomly the game slows down majorly for about 15 mins then goes back up to normal speed. My pc is the compaq presario cq60 and the specs are Memory (RAM) 1GB System Type: 32-bit operating sytem Processor: Genuine Intel ® CPU 575 @ 2.00 GHz 2.00Ghz Windows vista service pack 2 Processor: 2 GHz Intel Centrino P7350 Core 2 Duo Memory: 2 gigabytes Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 9200 GS Hard disk space: 250 gigabytes
