Hmm, if I enter the line I do get there, but I can't get there manually. What I mean is: If I open the WINDOWS map, there is no system32 map present. Though if I entered that line you showed, I do ge t there, and the HOSTS file is present there too now. If I open it with Word it shows the following IP adress: 72.17.137.93 which is the correct one for the Emperor Server, if I'm not mistaken. Any other thaughts? Really losing hope now ^^;

I've been trying to find the system32 folder, and I had to use the Find program to get there. Well here's some screens of what's in there. In the folder is no ''etc'' map present, any idea how come? In this folder I created the HOSTS file as you directed. Any thoughts what I've done wrong? Or is missing?

Here's an image of the XWISC tool, I'm running it on a Windows XP computer. When I run cmd, it comes up, but immidiatly shows an error, saying it can't be run for MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. I hope I've been clear.

Unfortunatly, I tried all the things you said, the ''read only'' wasn't checked. When I run cmd, I immidieatly get an error it isn't appropriate for windows or MS-dos, no idea what to do now. Thanks for the tips, but unfortuantly they didn't work :(. Also, if I try to ''test'' the connection with the server in the XWISC tool, it doesn't react anymore and I need to manually end the program using ALT+CTRL+DEL. Anymore suggestions would be welcome...

Hey guys, I've not been playing this game for quite some time now, last time was like 3 years ago. I've read trough the forums and download the XWISC tool, in the ''getting online'' thread it stated I had to change the upper line into the adress of the server I want to play on. So, I changed the upper line into: 72.17.137.93 When I hit the ''SET (XWIS)''-button it says: ''Your host file could not be updated.'' I try to hit Reset (WOL), same message. And also when I try to login into the game it says I have a bad password, can anybody help me? Thanks in advance.
