Fedaykin_Hawk
Most people think they are called NIAB tanks for Navigator In A Box. They are really NAIB tanks. Naib is a fremen word meaning "to never let one's self be captured alive" All fremen leaders take the oath of the naib. So this makes sense for the tank right? It can't be easily captured as it teleports around.
Timenn
This is more somthing for the Emperor forumBut where did you got this?
Anathema
I heard that NIAB meant Navigator In A Bottle. I can't see what the Guild has to do with fremen anyway.
Gobalopper
No its Navigator In A Box at least thats what I was told by the people who made the game.
Fedaykin_Hawk
I got it from the Dune book. I read the word glossary and found Naib. Coincidence? I think not... ???
Acriku
Naib is in the Dune book sure, but WW isn't the book. They actually pervert the books in so many weird ways, but good ways, too. But WW is different and has their own weird ideas, don't think they are the same though. I think so though about the coincidence  ;D
Anathema
I haven't read the Dune books but I originally thought that a Naib was the boss of a sietch. I'll start reading the first novell at the end of the school year.

Sardauker-Kirov
Then explain me "this"Why does the aircraft(In the Emperor worm mission) of the guild is named NIAP.Is that a new Fremen name? Â :)NIAP = Navigator in a Pod
Gunseng_Harkonnen
Ordos-Suspero right. I don`t think WW thought about fremen names when they did it, its just coincidence. Maybe they saw too this coincidence. But it can be a lot of words similar to each other in spelling but not in meaning.
nemafakei
Naib and NIAB are different. Naib (lit: 'chosen for wisdom') is the fremen, but the guild have no reason for employing naibs, let alone calling a tank in which there is a navigator one. Gunseng_Harkonnen
So, since its navigator in plane, its funny that its navigator in a box, anyway. It should be NIAT (but don`t sounds good).
Sardauker-Kirov
The Guild Navigators are always in a box, filled with spice to keep them alive. If you read the books.Although the Maker Infantry "isn't" in a box.
