The Covenants were now ready to begin the invasion of the planet itself. Covenant dropships entered the atmosphere unchallenged and deployed shocktroops at various locations across the planet. Mistakingly, they were assuming this would be an easy conquest.Private Jarul stould inline with the rest of his squad in their bunkhouse slash bunker. From here they were invisible from the scanners of the ships in orbit, but there wasn't much time till the invading troops would discover them. They would be ready by then.Jural and most of the others in the bunker had been brought to this planet 4 years ago to undergo reeducation in one of many aq-Deti training camps on the planet. Here they had undergone immense amounts of physical and mental torture, supposedly so that they would become model citizens and be allowed to return home afterwards. Many had not survived, and those who did didn't elude themselves with the prospect of returning home.
