Dante
Today it took me 52 minutes to log into my username on the computer. Every time I click the button and type my password it says "loading your personal settings" and then freezes. Without a mouse or the ability to use one, I have to restart.Everyone in my family gets this but only two of us know what to do. One is away, and I'm asking you. Windows XP is forcing us to log in and restart again and again and again... the record was 30 mins but as I mentioned above, it is now 52. This is ridiculous. Any ideas? Anyone? gryphon
Not enought free memory on your hard drive, or some one might have accedentally removed writing priveleges from your C drive or user profile directorys. Encripting the user profile dir's as an Admin also does the trick, you can log in as Admin, just not as any of the other users. Did you do anything with the security settings the last time you could log on normally ?
aox0m0xoa
ive had this problem, just delete the user name and make a new one, you can even transfer over the whole folder in docs and settigns for that user.
