Inoculator9
Build carryalls and send the elite devestators at it. Its a sure fire victory.
Baronvonflames
ummm.....no. build a windtrap, then a factory, then a hangar. build another windtrap while you start to build 4 adv. carryalls. pick up the three devastators and the elite flame tank. send them all to the VERY BOTTOM CORNER and release them. move the units down the side of the emperor worm (dont mind the guild refineries/harvesters) then attack the worm. to inflict most amount of damage, make sure that the flame tank is using both burners. then you get a cool little movie ;)
Timenn
Hmm, there is a better flight route. Where you don't encounter AA fire. But I doubt that the current AA fire will destroy the Carryalls
mdbaker1
Thanks alot, Ill try all the ideas and see what happens
Baronvonflames
well timenn, when i first did this strategy, i sent my adv. carryall with the flame tank first so if it was destroyed, i wouldnt lose a devastator, but then none of the living turrets destroyed it. Timenn
Yes. As I thought the Living Turrets won't do enough damage...
Ghosty_Square
You may carry even a single devastator, it will do the job.
Timenn
Yes? Becuase there are plenty of units to defend there...
Ghosty_Square
Nah, the dev won't even notice them (assuming it's one of the 3-chevron ones). That's how I finished the Hark campaign and the dev still had more than enough health (it regenerates when elite, remember?) IxianMace
The Dev had better kill the Emperor Worm pretty quickly then, because the enemy get NIAB tanks and Leeches to attack any ground units that try to kill the Emperor Worm.h (it regenerates when elite, remember?)Actually, Harkonnen vehicles (including the Devastator) self repair when they get two chevrons. However if it's infected by a Leech, then it won't be able to self repair.
Ghosty_Square
If I remember well, there is no Tleilaxu base near the worm. O well, I may not remember well (it's over a year since that game), but I remember that I used a single dev.
Timenn
No, indeed. The base is near the entrance in the cliff, which you need to pass when using ground units...
IxianMace
It doesn't matter that the Tleilaxu base isn't located near the worm, Leeches can get to trouble spots very quickly. The enemy also has Makers, Leeches, and NIAB tanks stationed at the ramp which leads straight down to where the worm is, and those units are likely to come down to get any units that attack the worm. They're very close to the worm btw.
Warlord
As hark, get the projecter down the the worm. Dupe enemy Niab Tanks, flame tanks, assult tanks, and enemy sonic tanks ONLY! get them to attack the worm. Dont bother dupeing the other units...they are either too slow to get out of the projector's area(slows down your dupeing speed) or they dont do enough damage. Inoculator9
Send the elite devestators with carryalls. Your base will likely be attacked, ignore it. Drop the devestators to the right of the worms head and attack to heart's content. You can use the carryalls to pick up advancing leeches or tanks. I gaurantee that this will give you victory. But you must send one or two additional carryalls as decoys. Only if you have only one elite devestator. If you have all three then just send them all in the carryalls, no decoys necessary.
