Guest LtTitan
When you group select the Fremen, and tell them to attack something, it sounds like they're saying somethin like, "Fila Kreeba!" and "Fila koreepa!" Does anyone know what they are saying, or what it means?
ethan
i think thats "ya hya chouda". no i dont know exactly what it means.sorry.
Guest LtTitan
No, I dont think its 'Ya hya chouhada,' it means 'Long live the fighters!'. I have heard that said before, and I dont think thats what they're saying. It literally sounds like 'Fila Kreeba' (I'll try to write how it sounds) pronounce it like this, Fila (i like eye) Kreeba (Kree ba). But thanks anyway. path_xiii
i always thought they said "For the chouhada" - which would mean 'for the fighters' - if that makes any sense... ???Maybe they ARE saying 'Ya hya chouhada', but its a muffled sample..? Navaros
It's always been crystal clear on my sound card. The voice acting for the Fremen was done without errors.I have often wondered what it means too.Wasn't there a couple of Fremen-language lines that the Fremen use in Emperor? They shout at least two different things in the Fremen-language, don't they?
Guest LtTitan
There were a few things they said in Fremen. I think there were about three different ways they said that in Emperor. I think it was, "Fila Kreeba" and "Fi la Ka reeba" or something along those lines.I am absolutely sure they're not saying 'Ya hya chouhada!' because it doesnt sound that way. They also say "For Shai Hulud" Shai Hulud is the worm god, so it means, 'For the Worm god'. Guest LtTitan
I am not entirely positive what they are saying, it could be 'Vila kreepa' or 'Fila Kreepa'. Im just not sure. But they all sound pretty much the same.

Frodo
it is Bi La Kiefa, and it means no more needs to be said.

Timenn
They pronounce it very bad.Ya Hya Chouhade - Long live the fighters!Bi La Kaifa - Amen! (lit. Nothing needs to be said anymore)Taqwa - The price of freedom!
Ninja231
If you say it fast enough it sounds sorta like "fedaykin areeba"
Guest LtTitan
So we still dont know for sure what they're saying. But I know they are not saying Bi-la Kaifa because its pronounced differently. Though the 'For Shai Hulud' was pronounced differently from Dune2k, in that they say, 'For Shai Hulud' (shai like shy). In Emperor they say 'For Shai Hulud' (shai like shyee). And they are definetly not saying Ya hya chouhada. But why would they be yelling Bi-la Kaifa as a battle cry? Translated it would sound silly... 'Bi-la kaifa' - *yelling* 'Nothing futher need be said!!'
Mad Rhetoric
O wait.....you're right,DM,I just remembered that I had a bootlegged russian copy.... :P ::) :P ::)
Guest LtTitan
Alright, there is no need to for rude comments. Does nobody know what this means? It might be something like, 'victory is ours' or something. Or maybe its just a battle cry, something that has no real meaning, just a battle cry.
Timenn
It is 'Bi la Kaifa' because WW did commented it in the soundfiles like thatAnd it's logical what it means, because when they attack they say" nothing needs to be said anymore" which you can read as: We are ready to attack/take action
nemafakei
Bi-la-kaifalit. "Nothing need be added".Hence, "Say no more" (in the sense that the speaker understands the message)Hence a confirmation of orders being received.
Guest LtTitan
In the tense it is used, it doesnt make sense. When you select more than one Fremen, it sounds like a lot of Fremen are saying it. Why would they yell something like that, and make it seem like a battle cry?And Westwood probably made a mistake, because I have heard Bi-la Kaifa said before. It isnt pronounced like that. Its more like, Bee la kyfa. Not, By la keefa. I am positive its not Bi-la Kaifa or Ya hya Chouhada. It just doesnt make sense.
Guest LtTitan
Wait wait... What about the two versions of that saying by the Fremen?Ok, for the sake of arguement... If it is Bi-la Kaifa, why would they say it two different ways. They say 'Bila kaifa' pronounced By la keefa and also pronounced By-la-ko-reefa. Can you explain that?Im telling you it cant be Bi-la kaifa. And if it is, they are wrong.
Devastator_Mech
Its the same, it sounds diffrerent is because one is said by the Warrior and the other is said by the Fredaykin.
Guest LtTitan
What do you mean? They are the same? I am talking about the group select, when you select more than one Fremen (both Warrior and Fedaykin it doesnt matter) they say it. But the group yell is the same thing said two different ways. I dont know what you are trying to say.
Devastator_Mech
Sorry, i thought your talking about selecting them indivivdually. If you look carefully above, you'll see i post everything the Fremens would say.
