Timenn
1. They can go to plenty of places in the time that Gunships aren't even lifted up. 2. Hmm... repairing is too much work, but who looks at some destroyed thopters? :)3. Yes, they look better too
Terror
pfff, orni's are just not made to assault anti air defences ::) , but they are perfect for where i want to use them for, taking out cobra's assaults and mino's and they do that very well. 10 orni's is my standard air force combined with 5 helipads ensuring a fast reload and 1 repair vehicle parked near the helipads who autorepairs all orni's, i seldom lose one
Devastator_Mech
They can go to plenty of places in the time that Gunships aren't even lifted up. So what even they're faster, as I said, they're going to hover when attackig anyway. Also, don't forget it has only a limited amount of ammunitions. Timenn
Why do you see all things so limited? This isn't about the actual firing. But about moving to the attack spot. Thopters can avoid alot of missiles when they are on their way. And they can do more attacks, since they are alot quicker there and alot quicker back. ethan
they're pretty good against ordos in the early game.....but they arent good against harkonnen or atr cause their turrets are better.
Baronvonflames
but they arent good against harkonnen or atr cause their turrets are better.well ordos has no AA turrets at all so against the ordos its a good plan to attack them with ornis

Terror
pfff like i said, orni's are not for base assaults, they are tactical strike bombers
Timenn
And you forget Harvester hunting. And you don't have turrets on the Spice fiels. Which are the most effective against them...
Terror
exactly, if you use orni's to assault bases i understand your point because orni's don't do that very well. they have enough ammunition but they unload it too slowly and their health isn't that good. Baronvonflames
but if you're going to attack a base with ornis you should only attack ordos because they have the least amount of AA defense
ethan
well, ornis can get away faster than gunships, and ornis are mostly for hunting unsupported units. like..... harvesters!!!
Devastator_Mech
Well that matter of fact is, the Harvester if most likely NOT be unsupported. But when it comes to hunting harvester, the 'thopters are more superior than the Gunship because enemy's reinforcement is likely to arrive soon and they could retreat fast, unlike the Gunships. Terror
well, the orni is so fast, you can kill a unit an retreat when you see backup is coming, this way you can do considerable damage and best of all, annoy the hell out of your enemy
Devastator_Mech
You will damage the target, but I'll doubt you'll destroy it unless you use the 'thopters in a group of 10 or more.

Terror
... is the assault tank better than the laser tank because it is stronger? guess not
Devastator_Mech
The Laser tank is sometimes better than the Assault tank and the Assault tank is sometimes better than the Laser tank. It really depends on the unit its versing. But as an overall unit, the Laser tank really sucks.
Fuzi0n
I dont play atr that much, but in qm noone ever uses em. I think becuz they suck.
Devastator_Mech
Which unit you talking about? If its Laser tanks, and you say Ordos player never uses them, then your wrong. Even though I reckon they suck as an overall unit, but that is still their standard battle tank. And so is the Assault tanks for the Harkonnen players. I need some help.Like everyone would build 1 or more defensive line, right? But I just couldn't find which combination of Hark units will form an "impenetratable" defensive line.Could you tell me, if you don't make a defensive line, how do YOU defend?
