IxianMace
Yes but provided both the Leech and the Devastator die, the player that had the Leech will still win overall, because Devastators cost over twice the price of Leeches. Devastator_Mech
No, because once the leech is dead, you think the player if let the larve live?
IxianMace
Do you think the other player will be doing nothing to kill the Devastator while the Leech larvae is on it?
Devastator_Mech
Seriously what could larvae actually do, its damage is like a light infantry shooting continuously, nothing more than a scratch to a devastator.
IxianMace
Don't forget that Harkonnen units can't self-repair unless they have at least 2 chevrons. A little scratch here and there can become life threatening damage, if it happens too much.
Devastator_Mech
Calm down, trust me, larvae is almost harmless, it wouldn't have even 1/1,000,000 of a chance in kill a devastator if its under my control.
IxianMace
Ok the larvae may not do much damage, but while the larvae is on the unit, it is still damaging it, and the infected unit can't be picked up. Since the Devastator's biggest weakness is its mobility (which sucks), it will be in grave danger if it is threatened and unable to retreat quickly. Devastator_Mech
I'm sure there'll be supports around my devastator.
TLContaminator
theres gotta be if your opponet is smart
Devastator_Mech
Devastators are usually for you to threaten people more than to harm your foe with it. i.e, you'll use Devastator to force lasers and Kobras to retreat. What it CAN do and what it WOULD do is different. Baronvonflames
About the leeches being able to attach a larvae to a devastator, think of the rocket pod that fires. also as anna lover pointed out, supports would most like destroy the tleilaxu vermin before it could attack the devo
ethan
devs wont die from leeches, if someone is smart enough to provide support with the dev(s)
Devastator_Mech
Yes and most ppl would retreat if there vehicle is inside the dev's range, although its 1 hit kill for infantry or almost all vehicle, but most infantry is quick and cheap to train, so its the cheapest efftctive counter against dev. TLContaminator
but until youl build a dev i will build i devi
ken124578
and then its too late because if i'm building an devastator i'll be building an adv. carryall too.
Devastator_Mech
Trust me, a devastator will never be alone in the battlefeild ......
Baronvonflames
And if it is, it is too slow in speed and reload time and can become overwhelmed by mongooses or laser tanks.
Devastator_Mech
Its reloading time is even better than a mino !! But it is very slow indeed.
Baronvonflames
if the deva is walking alone or in a group, and their commander takes their eyes off them off a while, laser tanks can hit and run the deva from the back because the rocket pods turn rate is a tad bit slow
ken124578
you don't need to "attack it from the back" just use my method of killing it with lasers and i guerentee that you wil *NOT* lose an single 1 of them. (only attack in small groups of lasers, large groups tend to go in the devastators range)
Devastator_Mech
You won't have a chance to use this method because of my support units.
TLContaminator
Trust me, a devastator will never be alone in the battlefeild ......thats what makes the devi even grater he can deviate and order the dev to devestate (BOOM!)
Devastator_Mech
You think the Deviator will have a chance to deviate the Devastator if there's support units?
TLContaminator
hell yea!!!
Devastator_Mech
Well if its yes for you, that means you don't know how to command your support units.
