Devastator_Mech
The Kindjals will be dead before you could even deploy it, and both the Mongoose and Minotaurus will be dead from one salvo from the Missile Tank.
IxianMace
No player in his right mind will ever walk a Devastator to the enemy base. Therefore, I concentrate on my anti-aircraft defences to take down the Advanced Carryalls. I also keep Kindjal and Mongoose in my base, so that if any do make it down, they'll be in for a nasty shock. (Heheh, the back of my base is also hard, not just the front). Devastator_Mech
I'll use the inkvines to force your defence units out, and the missiles, flames, and devastator will be covering it. Usually they'll(your forces) be crippled as they rush, and the Missile will then finish off any turret, while they kindjals are drink poison from the inkvine and here come the devastators and Gunships in the middle of your base.Once all the conyard and warfactory is gone, i've won already. IxianMace
In the first place, I don't sit around and wait for the enemy to come knocking on my door. Before you even start getting your first Devastator, I'll have dropped engineers to fix your buildings. You will be able to build nothing, and will have your economy in tatters from my Air Drones if you are not careful. Then I'll just pop up turrets in your base and sell all your buildings after that. Resistance is futile. I've been owned so many times by so many people. You don't think I learn anything from it?
Devastator_Mech
Before the engineers could even come out, im afraid the APC is already spotted by my scouts and recycled by my missiles.
IxianMace
You underestimate the good old engineer drop. Humans cannot pay attention to every aspect of the battlefield at a time. I'll get your attention with a feint, then I'll move them in. Otherwise, I'll have them so fast that your Missile Tank will still be inside the factory in production, by the time I drop in for a visit. ;D
Devastator_Mech
Ok then, answer this question: how is your APC gonna get in my base?
IxianMace
Why do you think they call it an "engineer drop"? Via advanced carryall of course! I've seen anyone micromanage an APC full of engineers into an enemy base. I've never ever tried it like that myself.
Devastator_Mech
Their you go, Air anything + me force = your dead !!I always build a turret or unit that has AA capbility once i could.(thats why a hate being Ordos)
IxianMace
That means you will be building a turret right after you build your Barracks and upgrade your Construction Yard. Not a very good BO. I have other methods of testing your defences as well. Once, I found I was a newbie getting advice from people (not to name anyone). ;) Now I find that I'm giving advice to newbies! :D
Devastator_Mech
Well no, but straight after the warfactory and the 2nd upgrade of the refinery. If i have $$ at the start, i'll just upgfrade the conyard when im building the windtraps.
IxianMace
Well that means you would be basically screwed with your BO if you started a game with 5K, no pre-built.
Devastator_Mech
Read the message above man,"If i have $$"
IxianMace
I did read it. All I'm saying is that if you started with low money, that wouldn't be a very good tactic.
Devastator_Mech
I'll upgrade my refinery first and build it when my cash is sufficent.
Devastator_Mech
And that would worth it, because that'll somewhat help against early infantry rushes.
Baronvonflames
well sonic tanks would be good but i would back them up with minos and mongooses. and did u ever think of if the hark units were close together a worm might eat them?
Devastator_Mech
Well in online games, you'll rarely see that living world on.
Baronvonflames
yeah thats a point....
Devastator_Mech
exactly, so the worm would not be included as a factor.
Baronvonflames
i dont see y people just dont have living world on it can help and it shows that ur a coward if u always have it off because u cant handle some twisters and worms
IxianMace
I don't think people are cowards for that, it's just because people think that having living world on lags the game, and it's more annoying than interesting to have living world on.
Devastator_Mech
Exactly, and its not fair either player. Because the twister or worm could irritate only particular player and the other has advantage.
Timenn
Well, it Dune. And with Dune are the worms 'n storms. But I agree with Dev_Mech that you can call them irrelevant, except wormriders ofcourse
Devastator_Mech
Well, it Dune. And with Dune are the worms 'n storms. But I agree with Dev_Mech that you can call them irrelevant, except wormriders ofcourseWell i somewhat hate about Fremen's wormride ability, its just like a cheaper and faster superweapon which is limited on where it could be deployed.
