jmard5
I had installed Emperor on our Athlon XP2000, 128MB, Nvidia32MB video card, Win XP Pro (clean installation). The installation ran smoothly. AFTER the customary intro of the game developers like EA, Westwood, etc (and probably JUST BEFORE the game proper or the movies)the game suddenly quits. It does not crashes at all but just returns to the Windows desktop. Tried re-installing it 3 times but the problem still occurs.I tried running it on a different PC, Pentium 3, 256MB, Win XP Home Ed. The game worked just fine. Can anyone help me what the problem is and how to troubleshoot it? Is it because of XP compatibilities? I tried checking the "Compatibility for Win98"... same problem.Thank you in advance.

Nyarlathotep
Try to disable any background programs you might have running, like virus scanners and stuff. And like desert_Eagle said, attach your dxdiag output when you've ran the tests..
jmard5
I don't run any background applications. And I've tried running dxdiag and all tests went fine.I always do that after a fresh installation of windows.

Nyarlathotep
Lazer32, you might want to try different video card drivers for your ATi..Also, lower your desktop resolution to 1024x768..
