Any way to remove the leech effect from Harkonnen/Ordos units?

Alright, so the Atreides have the repair vehicle to remove the infection that vehicles get from leechers, but I'm playing the campaign with the Ordos and Harkonnen now and the leechers are SO annoying because I can't remove it once they're hit.

Any way to remove it?

Yes, engineers can remove the leech larvae the same way repair vehicles do. Keep an engi or two around your spice fields and units.

Also, leech larvae can be shot off. Force fire on the effected units to kill the leech larvae. Of course, do it with one or two units or you might destroy the very unit you intended to save.

Shoting to larva is sometimes more effective than engeeners. But don`t do it using laser tank if inbfected is another laser tank, cos both will explode. And don`t shot off using sardaukar if infected is laser.

And about not using Saudaukar, you mean Saudaukar Elites, right? Because I don't see why normal Saudaukar would matter against the laser tanks.

Yes, laser has shield and is very annoying to be leeched. Only buzzsaw is immune, other vehicles must stand it.

Laser is nothing...

Every shielded unit will die and kill the person that shot a bullet with laser...

Use gas men (flamethrower/green gas) on machienes. They do the least damage and reove the leech's almost immediately. ;)

Never tried shooting it off, it always use engineer.

Does it do any damage to the unit infected? How long does it take for another unit to shoot it off?

usually depends. I always use the gassers, like the earlier post. Also with gassers it's usually 12 seconds before the leech dissipates. For machine guns, maybe 2-3 seconds. And yes, it does dmg to the unit aswell.

oh, wait devvastator! I messed up on my earlier post!! It usually takes 1-2 seconds for a gasser to get rid of a leech.

Ya, thats usuallty the problem, they don't last long in the battle field long. So thats why its better to have a repair vehicle around.

Thats the secret to it.... each house their own way to remove leeches on the battlefield....

Ordos is chem trooper, harks are flamer,, and atreides is the rapair mech
