Hi all together,

hopefully one of you can help me with getting dune2000 running on my windows 8.1 system. I downloaded and installed Dune2000 gruntmod version 1.6.1.9. Whenever i click the start campaign button i get an error concerning dune.dat . "Runtime error dune.dat Application couldnt be started correctly 0xc0000022 click ok to close"

I tried to force direct draw emulation - because i read this in different topics. No result.

I also uninstalled and downloaded again to reinstall - same error like before.

Searching the forum and using google i couldnt find any solution.

Please help :-)

Hi FunyFr3sh - well I choose "run as administrator" and problem still persists. Account is of type administrator as well.

*noticed that i accidentally posted in standard dune 2000 topic. If a boardadmin could please shift this thread into the support-section I ld be grateful.*

Tried google on the error myself and fixed some registry garbage and went for gmer, hijackthis and kasperky tdss rootkit killer to check if there is something wrong. No results :(

Also checked administrator write permissions on the exe file - everything is ok.

Its only dune2000 which doesnt start. Everything else works perfect. Strange ...
