THE AQIB Posted December 11, 2012 Share Posted December 11, 2012 when i was looking for dune games online i hit on this dune generations game. the idea was marvelous but it got cancelled. then few days ago i was thinking for a kind of dune generations game, there i hit upon the idea to use spore's space stage level concept. well spore's been dead for years. but ideas flow from it. can anyone out there try something on it?? THE AQIB Posted December 15, 2012 Author Share Posted December 15, 2012 Well i can give out a lst of things to be changed in spore to make it more like dune generations... luckily in spore trading is done using spice... inspired by dune ofcourse... No 1:removinq first 3 stages(ie cell, creature & tribal).No 2:removting all maxis creations.No 3:allowing creature creator to only the creators. No 4:modifying civilisation stage to the beginning of players journey(build,harvest,trade,fight against rivals on your own homeworld).No 5:editing names of planets(random naming) & at the center of universe is arrakis.No 6:allow portal gun to known sectors of galaxy.There is much more to it. The game was a financial disaster. And that's why the money ran out for Dune Generations... and Cryo itself.  Continuing the developement would be great but you'd have to get hold of what has been done by now (from whom?) buy it (with what money?) and finish it (with what team?). And of course there's the author rights problems and stuff.  And why Spore and not Sins of a Solar Empire?
