House_Corrino
Sonics rock against infantry, but should be stronger against vehicals.

House_Corrino
Ya, they detect them right before they explode.
Alexander_Ordos
Ok could you please name one turret in D2k, that's good against infantry? ::)
quoudam72
The regular gun turret when doubled up or paired with a missile turret I find them to be effective.
Alexander_Ordos
10 Troopers would easily wipe'em out... ::)
quoudam72
::)......Only if you have no defence for the turrets an outer base patrol will handle any infantry units.
Alexander_Ordos
Why not take out the outer patrol first ;D?Ok back on sabateurs - never had a problem with them actualy...
Timenn
Some Siege Tanks behind the turret line is excellent ;D
quoudam72
Thanks Timenn that is what I was trying to get Alexader Ordos to understand some players use inner and outer wall defences.
jacobdouds
Gun Turrets=Infantry KillerRocket Turrets=Vehicle KillerI surround my base with heaps of rocket turrets, then I seal of entrances with gun turrets.
gryphon
Do you need gun turrets ?I usually manage with just rocket turrets. Place them behind a wall and they kill evrything that comes by ;D
quoudam72
Well using them together helps because the rocket turret takes longer for it's next firing this way the gun turret can cover for the rocket turret during this period of time. Also the rocket turret detects units before they come into the range of the gun turret (I think) this way an enemy unit already has damage before the gun turret has fired apon said unit, making it that much less effective. (IMO)
Dub_c
i agree with jacobdouds just out a lne of rocket turretsaround tha edge and gun turrets. or a grid of turrets will stop anything
jacobdouds
Before I found out about the update of the game, when the trainer still worked. Me and Dub_c used to build large grids of walls and rocket turrets, nothing could get thru and the ornithopters died instantly. And i did not pay Dub_c to say that. Dub_c
he really did not pay me to say that and its really effective using tha grid but takes so long to make
gryphon
You'r right Shogun-FS, When you use them combined like that that works. It's just my tzctic to just build rocket turrets. And Ok they detect enemys a bit later and need longer to reload. Nut if you have a entire wall of thoose turrets, you [ I ] don't care about that. It just stopes all units anyway. So again, either way works. Just your personal preferences that counts :)
quoudam72
You and I sound alike a bit Gryphon when you have played a game so long you find alot of different ways to defend aganist and attack your enemy.
gryphon
Yep, and it's just the way that you like most, and you can work with best that you apply then in your gaming style. :)
Dub_c
actually he did pay me to say this. 10 NZ$
jacobdouds
Us, well I did play Dune2k over and over i don't know how many times. Unlike E:BFD, which I'm bored with already.
gunner154
why on Earth r u using Gun Turrets when Rocket Turrets are buildable in later missions?
gryphon
I thought it was about Dune 2000 in general. So I took the fact that your strategy is what you liked to play /use.And then I usually use savings of higher levels or multiplayer games. If I have to apply it on the first levels then I don't build gun turrets. Not my style.:)
