Maps not downloading?

Recommended Posts

Just to confirm, I get the same results, except the file I downloaded is 628 bytes of junk.

The zip file is corrupt.

Same as the other map by Ted Kocyla - Ontario Northeast.

I searched my 2 storage hard drives and I don't have either one, which could mean they've been corrupt for a while since I've downloaded every map on this site that isn't on mine, as well as the maps at ExpressWorld.

That is the only copy I have.

How would it become modified about the same time that Djfo1 tried to download it?

Maybe I should delete it, if it is junk?

The download link is not really junk, it's an error message:

<br />

<b>Warning</b>:  filesize() [<a href='function.filesize'>function.filesize</a>]: stat failed for /home/dune2k/www/theterminal.dune2k.comne2k.com/downloads/rrt2/maps/NorthAmerica/OntarioNorthland.zip in <b>/home/dune2k/www/theterminal.dune2k.com/html/download.php</b> on line <b>38</b><br />

<br />

<b>Warning</b>:  readfile(/home/dune2k/www/theterminal.dune2k.comne2k.com/downloads/rrt2/maps/NorthAmerica/OntarioNorthland.zip) [<a href='function.readfile'>function.readfile</a>]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in <b>/home/dune2k/www/theterminal.dune2k.com/html/download.php</b> on line <b>39</b><br />

Basically the file isn't there, or isn't where the server code is looking.

Hawk, Jerry, thanks for your efforts guys, much appreciated.

BTW, the map did exist, I played it a few years and several machines ago!

Cheers,

DJF

I see what you're saying now. I'll have to remember that next time I download a zip file that won't open. I wonder if that's typical for something like this.

I've never viewed a zip that wouldn't open in a text editor before, but I have downloaded a few that wouldn't open.

That's interesting. The download script I use wouldn't even give you a downloadable file if it wasn't where the script thought it was. It would give a similar error message in the browser.
