RTPlayer
I've noticed that when I build stations and maintenance facilities, it changes the terrain to make the ground under the building flat. Any suggestions on how I can get the computer to quit changing the grade of my nearby track? Also, when the hilly cities grow new buildings, they often change the grade of my existing track. Any suggestions on how to get around this?
Gwizz
When building a station on the side of a hill, I lay two tracks side by side. This levels the ground. Bulldoze one track where the station will go.Normally I don't bother. Acceleration from a station doesn't seem to be affected much by a bump in the station track. Since speed is an average of a number of track cells, a train passing through a station is not affected much either. But it does look better without the bump. Hawk
The 1.05 patch addresses the grade issue for the most part, but not completely. It's a good idea to install the Coast to Coast expansion (1.04) prior to installing the 1.05 patch. Both can be found at the following link.http://hawkdawg.com/rrt/rrt3/rrt3.htm
