Gwizz
I use a book of old topo maps and there are many maps on the we., I normally build from scratch starting with a blank map.I don't worry too much about exactly where a city or river should be placed.I look at the map and start placing cities roughly from the center of the blank map. Then I thread the rivers from city to city before I do any mountains. I then add mountains roughly then go back and fine tune the highs and lows later. I make the rivers run down hill, etc. and do the painting last. There are methods to find exactly where each should be and sites on the web that also help. Some sites will even let you zoom in and look at your own house. I was able to see my car in the driveway.
maddog
reumo93,On my webpage is a link (Railroad/Railroad Tycoon II information) to a posting that used to be on the H&P board when it was a RT2 board. It describes a method for downloading real satellite data and importing it into the RT2 editor. All of my maps are made that way. My page is at..... http://home.psknet.com/allenr/railroad/railroad.html--Ray.
