Mahdi
We received one of these as a gift yesterday. Any suggestions of any good (Free, or nearly free) books? From what I see, the electronic version cost as much or more than the paper versions. If I'm gonna spend $10 on a book , I'd much rather have a real copy. Not that I spend $10 on a book very often - your local library is your friend.
Andrew
Don't forget that if you buy from Amazon (probably any ebook seller that controls the device), they can delete the book at any time.Amazon Erases Orwell Books From KindleSo if you had purchased this book, and disabled DRM to prevent them from deleting it from your device, under new Canadian copyright law, you would be a criminal.Google led me toFree books for the amazon kindleProject Gutenberg has lots of free books. Especially if you are into older books (whose copyright would have expired).Free Book Collections amazon.com look for project Gutenberg section and tells you how to view them on Kindle. Mahdi
Like I said, it was a gift. I'd never get one myself and I'da preferred to sell this one but that wasn't really an option because of who it was from. I've went through and downloaded about 5 pages worth of free books - just looking for any specific suggestions, if anyone around here has one. Looking for either free up to about $3.I don't see it being used regularly, just for travelling and if I run out of regular books and can't make it to the library for a bit. Acriku
I read Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass And What Alice Found There on my iPhone's app for books, so I assume it's free (the app was). Good reads, and if you get some artwork - bonus!
