MrFlibble
I've got avast! 5.0 and I've noticed that already for two months it does not update virus definitions. Whenever I try to update them manually, it tells me they're "already up to date", although they date back to the 28th of February. Moreover, in the program update section, it says that my version is 5.0.377, with a small notification that a newer version, 5.0.418, is available. Yet if I try to update program via that option, it once again tells me everything is up to date. I've not been able to gather any info regarding that issue on the official site, does this mean I'll have to download the entire program installation package just to get my version updated? gryphon
I'd suggest to reinstall Avast. This is the first time I know some one has problems with it. Does it use an account info that might not be up to date anymore?
athanasios
Strange. I 've got an older version and it is up to date.

MrFlibble
I had to download a new version after all, since the older version I had refused to reinstall after I uninstalled it (with the message that it was outdated). The new version works normally so far.
