piterdevries
To you who writes stories, do you think that roleplaying on the internet (any kind of RP) is a good way to sharpen your writing skills?
Dante
It certainly helped mine. But then it is a form of practice; one would expect skills to improve with practice anyway. The nice thing about RP, as opposed to say writing short stories, is that it encourages you to think on your feet. It helps with coming up with new ideas. Technical writing skills though, such as sentence structure and grammar, might be better sharpened by reading.
exatreide
I agree with Dante. Its a wonderful force against writers block as well as it forces new and ever changing situations on you, every one of these will often spark new idea's for your writing. TMA_1
I really want to get more involved in paper roleplay games, are you guys talking about these types of games done online? That would be neat to do. Is Shadowrun played online?
