gekko44 Posted January 26, 2008 Share Posted January 26, 2008 hi!i recently reinstalled XP , and as i have EBFD on other disk , i saved all the settings from old registry (searched using words: emperor, westwood, dune) and merged them to new registry. path is the same...but game doesnt start - i mean it starts but shows only 2 starting animations (EA and WESTWOOD) and then crashes ... :(is there any way to make it work without re-installing the game ??thx 4 any help :D Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think you would be far better off doing a CLEAN INSTALL, (Uninstall all existing traces of the game, defrag, reboot, then install) following the steps outlined on this site. (using install patch, upgrading to 1.09, etc.) Just my opinion. That is how I always do it when installing for friends and I have never had a problem.
