Gunseng_Harkonnen
I heard somewhere or read somewere that Chapterhouse: Dune was writen by Brian Herbert not by Frank. I think (but I`m not sure) Brian said that. It`s true?
Mahdi
No its not true.
Gunseng_Harkonnen
How do you know?
Mahdi
Because the book is written by Frank Herbert.
Gunseng_Harkonnen
But his son could help him with it. Well, I heard that he died during writing book and Brian finished it
gryphon
Think it was written by Frank Herbert to.If you have the source of your intell we whould know :)
nampigai
Brian was supposed to help frank with the seventh
gryphon
Brain could have "helped" him a bit, but the main story line is Frank's I think.
ordos45
It was Frank, writers have certain styles of writing. They are almost like a fingerprint, and Brian's writing style wasn't used.
Ordos_Executrix
so why doesent brian finish the seventh i am sure he knows what it was meant to be like or their are enough notes to do so
Vanguard3000
Executrix: Brian and Kevin J will be writing book 7, once they finish the new trilogy.Anyway, I've heard rumours that Brien may have writting C:D, or it could have been a joint effort by father and son. But like I said, these were only the speculations of one person.I'd really like to read "Man of Two Worlds", because it would be neat to see how both Frank and Brian contributed. Gunseng_Harkonnen
I read this in "newspeper"(Ha) and it was very suprising. I don`t believe in this but I had to ask and agree with you, they had to mistake >:( Chapterhouse with 7th part of Dune. But thanks, anyway, now I`m sure :)
gurneyman
FH died in 86. Chapterhouse Dune was released in 85. It's all Frank.
ErasOmnius
Too true. Remember when they announced Frank's death. Very sad day. As far as post-Chapterhouse, BH/KJA's Hunters is not that bad of a book, until they reveal E and O to be the Enemy.
SandChigger
As far as post-Chapterhouse, BH/KJA's Hunters is not that bad of a bookOK, NOW I get it: you read with your eyes closed, right?
ErasOmnius
OK, NOW I get it: you read with your eyes closed, right?Haven't you heard? We are all getting along.Anyway, I know that you have read Hunters, as well. I'm not going to throw all of it out. If Brian would just say that Hunters and Sandworms is his version of Dune, it would be a lot better going for him.
SandChigger
Haven't you heard? We are all getting along.I'm very happy for you... whoever "you all" are.Anyway, I know that you have read Hunters, as well. I'm not going to throw all of it out. If Brian would just say that Hunters and Sandworms is his version of Dune, it would be a lot better going for him.I haven't "thrown" all of it out yet, either. I've got about 50, 60 pages of it left... which I figure should last me another six or seven dumps. ;)Of course, KJA will never let Brian say anything like that! Kevin J. Anderson has to be writing THE DEFINITIVE CANON of Dune, or it's just not worth his effort.(Not that he hurting himself too much in the writing as is, of course.) ErasOmnius
One thing I am sure everyone believes is that Erasmus and Omnius are not the Enemy that Frank described at the end of 'Chapterhouse'.
SandChigger
One thing I am sure everyone believes is that Erasmus and Omnius are not the Enemy that Frank described at the end of 'Chapterhouse'.It's not a question of belief. They have explicitly stated in interview that Erasmus is their own creation and BoBo implied the same of Omnius at one of their signing talks a couple of books ago.
