Guest archangel
Its just a game. I know people who think the mini series was crappy, I know people that think the games are crappy, and I of course know people that think the more recent books are crappy. The point is, that people like you will never be happy because you have such a rigid perspective on what the Dune Universe is, and should contain. NEWSFLASH: everyone perceives what the dune universe should and shouldn't contain. Its not wrong, its just different. I personally loved emperor because it was just a plain entertaining experience. Loyalists to the original book will never be happy. My advice: go make your own @#%$ Dune game and quite complaining! and thats my 2 cents
fedaykin_jatin
.erm wats the point in creatin the game if not cos of us dune hardcores??westwood was banking on the fact that thousands of us hardcore dune fans would buy the game. So, the rest of the player base was/would have been sidelined. and personally. the new books r crappy..
garth
I think it's pretty safe to say I'm a Dune book loyalist.....but I still enjoyed reading the prequel novels, loved watching the miniseries, and enjoy playing Emperor every night. After I watched the Lynch movie for the 4th time I enjoyed watching it too. cyclonus
I don't really mind that it strays alittle way, if it helps gameplay then I think the company should add in a little extra something.
peseverance
I think BFD was something the boss at WW wanted to do a LONG time ago (what was him name) when he did Dune IIhe probably tried it with D2k but people complained so he tried again and i think he got it pretty damn well this timeAll Hail That Man

ordos45
Personally I like the books, sort of like the prequels, don't really care for the Lynch movie but I have it anyhow, liked the mini series except for a few problems in costume design, and I love the games.
