Dunenewt
If Shiroko comes back do you reckon he'll make an FAQ for Generals?

Shiroko
Actually I'm getting released tomorrow.Don't play much RTS nowadays. We'll see...-Shiroko

thomas
cool!shiroko RTS games are fun fun fun! play the open beta of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War and then decide whether you'll stop
Shiroko
They're too similiar usually...Not that the FPS genre evloved a lot in the last three years.
Dunenewt
I guess you haven't played Doom III then.
Shiroko
I played it, where did it evolve?Graphically? that's nice but not interesting.A guy in base, where a science experiment goes wrong, and everybody start die, he goes around killing those invading creature, uses a teleport lab to go th their world, where he jumps on platforms.Gee... Original stuff here...But the object shadows and bump maps were excellent.-Shiroko
Dunenewt
Played Return to Castle Wolfenstein? Not original but a great game.
Shiroko
Only multiplayer. It actually reminds me of Doom 3, both games are too long, you reach a point you just don't want the game, but wanna see the ending. And both have very awkward bosses. (Though RTCW has a much more awkward one)There was call of duty, which was fine, but too much of the same.Best games I played in the last years are GTA3 (+VC of course). And from the last year I'd point Sands of time, and True Crime (Which had awful awful controls and meny problems, but I still forgive it because of the action film feeling).Anyway, I want Fighting games. Something in the style of Oni would be great, but these are very rare, and even more rare on PCs.-Shiroko
Dunenewt
I liked RTCW all the way through ;). Did you play Enemy Territory?
Shiroko
No
Dunenewt
Should try it out. It's online only and was going to be the expansion pack for RTCW but they released it as a stand alone game and for free.
Shiroko
I've got my UT2K4 and I'm happy with it, though the level of online players is smaller than I'd prefer and this makes only onslaught really playable. Anyway, Counter Strike source should go open beta soon, which should be excellent.-Shiroko
Andrew
What level of online players would you prefer for a game? 600? 1000? (at once)
Dunenewt
I've got the Demo for UT2K4 and Onslaught is really good. Shame you can't use that Ion Tank more.
Shiroko
Well, TT2K4 has more than 1000 I'm quite sure. But CS 30K was excellent. A lot of players assure me more servers, and even more important, Israeli servers which is always much better as I don't have to never worry about my ping.Anyway currently it's not enough I cannot play Bombring Run, Domination and Assault. Which is somewhat annoying.-Shiroko
EWS
CS:Source has already gone beta for the Cyber Cafes, and if you purchased CS:CZ then you gain an automatic place on the beta!
Dunenewt
How did you manage to play all these games Shiroko?
Shiroko
I played games furing vacations, which are rather good in the Israeli army.Anyway, also played tons of Tekken 3 in the military. I actually know a lot of 10 combos and throw combos.-Shiroko
Dunenewt
Is that military training? Yoshomitsu was the best by far. Or maybe Gun Jack...
Shiroko
Actually Nina is the best character, it has fast move, powerful moves, reversals, good throws, multi throws and a few dirty annoying tricks in case you feel like it.My favorites though are Xiaiou and Howarang.
