Apollyon
I rigged it to play total annihilation music on mine. I'd have Beethoven do Harkonnen,Bach do AteidesRadiohead do Ordos.

Apollyon
Hell no.Beethoven is really loud and powerful music. Perfect for Harkonnen. It might not be evil music, but Harkonnen aren't really half as evil as the game makes them out.
exatreide
Yes...They are...
Apollyon
No... they aren't.The only thing that gave Harkonnen their evil air in the books was Baron Vladmir Harkonnen. His predecessor, Dmitri, was a good and fair ruler of Giedi prime.By the way your presentation of facts to back up your argument was amazing. erjin999
So can this be done ? Wheres the thread that says which files need to be swapped ? Or is this all theoretical ? :O
veK
afaik this can be done by making new bag files.but i guess the thread was about which band we would like to do the music, creating new music like a soundtrack for the game - not using their old music... Dunenewt
Yes veK is right. It can be done but that's not the point in the thread.

DjCiD
Well I may seem a bit biased but I like the One Corrino track for most of the Houses. It kinda seems Ordos-ish...ModMuzak
Dunenewt
They run at half the speed they should when they are in-game though.
Apollyon
Mine never did. Depends on how you encode them.
Dunenewt
The House Corrino's did for me. How did you encode them?
Apollyon
Oh I don't know about that one. It's down to the encoding, ie how many kbs it is. Emp is set to something pretty low so anything higher will play strangely.
veK
actually the music isn't set to a low kbs.it'a @ 128 kbs - but the difference is: it's only @ 22kHz. I guess this might be the reason for strange playing, because everyone has his music with 44kHz and not 22.maybe you just try to encode a copy of your music in 128kbs and 22kHz - just for the game. Apollyon
128 is low.
veK
128 kbs is the average standard - 192kbs is good quality and everything thats higher than 192 is just insane and only encoded by people who think their hdds have unlimited capacity.you could call everything below 128 kbs low but 128 is still the average standard and quite acceptable quality. I for myself encode everthing with 192...
Apollyon
The average standard according to whom?
Vanguard3000
EVeryone. Store-bought CDs use 128kbs. I don't think you can even burn CDs at higher qualities. Higher quality MP3s will just burn at 128kb as well.
Apollyon
That's impossible as you can rip tracks from CDs at a much higher quality. I rip mine at 356kbs.
